While that may have been much more comfortable, parking runs out quickly and I would have needed to use my car every day to get to my conference (and pay yet another daily parking fee). It's in a touristy area, so you will not find things like convenience stores, and VONS closes early.įor those considering some other places around town, I provide my thoughts after I drove around the area: $4 for a bottled soda at the vending machine. Should not be called "At the Convention Center." It's quite a walk, about 1/2 mile. No coffee for 2 days as the machine was broken. Decent hot breakfast items, but terrible selection on other items. There were only about 5 spaces left, though management probably allows use of the 30 minute or less parking spaces if they run out. I have *never* seen this warning at any other hotel I've ever stayed at. Do not use credit cards on their Wifi without connecting to a VPN first. Housekeepers are friendly (much friendlier than the other staff). To get to the fitness center, you must go through the breakfast area and through the pool area. There is a small indoor pool next to the business center. You need to walk through it to get to it. There is a business center so you can print boarding passes etc., down the hall past the breakfast area. It's close enough that you can walk to the convention center, but it gets old fast. Very quiet area and hotel was very quiet. Decently safe area that has cute shops and restaurants. Goodness help you if you need anything beyond that. I expect a lot better for $200/night.īased on the quality, this is literally just a place where you sleep. He said "I don't know." He doesn't know the area, and somehow doesn't know what Tylenol is and thus shouldn't be working at this hotel. He searched three different first aid kits and couldn't find any either. His response, and I kid you not was "What is Tylenol?" Really? I said "Tylenol, pain killer, aspirin, acetaminophen, Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, naproxen." They don't have ANY sundries despite the little sign in each bathroom. I asked the guy at the counter if I could buy some Tylenol (thinking they had sundries). I came back after a long day at my conference with a terrible headache. It's incredible what a rip off Long Beach is. I booked somewhat last minute and got a pretty bad nightly rate (> $200), though it was the highest rated place that was below $400/night. Not great, but could have been a ton worse. No prepaid or cash app cards are accepted. The hotel only accepts bank credit or debit cards. All credit cards must have a chip in order to be charged. A $200 incidental deposit is required at check-in using a credit/debit card only. The property will be undergoing some daytime guest bathroom renovations. Parking fee is $23.00 per vehicle per night. Reserve your room at Best Western Plus Hotel at the Convention Center today. Food inspectors, offshore technicians, and many others consider us their home away from home. Some of our regular guests are in town for work with the shipping industry, imports and exports, and the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Conferences at the Convention Center attract business travelers, too. The LB Performing Arts Center is a hot spot for concerts and brings in the best performers around the world. Both are just a few minutes from our Long Beach hotel. Shop Pine Avenue, Belmont Shore, and Shoreline Village for one-of-a-kind gifts and souvenirs. The Long Beach Marathon, crawfish events, and Grand Prix are additional options for guests looking for something a little different on their vacation. Festivals like the Jazz Fest are popular local attractions. Of course, many of our guests are in town with Carnival Cruise or in route to Catalina Island. The Aquarium of the Pacific is a local destination that is family-friendly. Complete your breakfast with a cup of 100 percent Arabica coffee or cold juice.
